Weite is the Berlin-based collective of Ingwer Boysen, Michael Risberg, Nick DiSalvo and Ben Lubin. Comprising members of a number of bands in the psychedelic and experimental rock world (notably other Stickman artists Elder and delving), Weite is a band that both borrows influences from these groups and forges its own path, experimenting freely with the members’ many musical interests. After writing and recording the debut album Assemblage (released in 2023) in a single week during the pandemic, Weite took the next years to more carefully compose their next work, which culminated in a trippy mixture of psychedelic sounds channeling the pioneering spirit of 70’s krautrock and the Canterbury progressive scene. Oase is a lengthy journey full of surprises that has already been garnering high praise (including Album of the Month in Visions Magazin).
