The Pink Moon is a psychedelic garage rock band from Trondheim, Norway. Combining the raw power of early protopunk bands like MC5 and The Stooges with the psychedelic rhythm and blues of Small Faces and The Who, they form an explosive and melodic act drenched in the spirit of the 60s.

Cosmic Heart Attack is an album of 9 new songs of vigorous garage-punk, whimsical freakbeat, rickety psychedelia and even an adventurous stroll to the outer limits of psych-jazz.
With songs recorded in mostly one or two takes, Cosmic Heart Attack captures the band in what is their strongest element: the spontaneity and common energy they’re able to create together. As a matter of fact, the last song on the album, aptly named “New Beginnings”, was the first piece they recorded for the album and arose from an impromptu jam while checking the sound in the studio.
The first single from the album, “Runnin’ on Fumes”, is a riff monster in the vein of MC5, Sonics Rendezvous Band and other delights from the Detroit area.
The saxophone of Mr Snustad from fellow label colleagues Spidergawd, enlisted as a guest musician, adds a sexy flavour to both “New Beginnings” and the rock ‘n soul drama of “Cut You Loose”.
The Pink Moon always try to record a good version of one or two of their musical inspirations on their albums and this time they’ve done “So You Say You Lost Your Baby” by Gene Clark as a frantic garage version complete with jangly acoustic guitars and soothing mellotrons. It’s already a modern gem!
Cosmic Heart Attack is available on colored 180gr. vinyl in the unique packaging Crispin Glover Records is known for – this time including 3D glasses and CD.
