Motorpsycho News

Motorpsycho updated their website with some news yesterday, so we thought we’d help them spread the word. They’ve been mighty busy over the past weeks and months, rehearsing with their new drummer Tomas, recording a new studio album in both LA and Joshua Tree, CA, and putting the final touches on the release of their theater music project. A tour is in the works for fall and there are a number of festivals booked for the summer.

So we can expect to see and hear a lot from the band during the coming months. To kick it off, the “Begynnelser” theater project is being pressed as a limited edition release as I type this, and if all goes well it will be out at the beginning of June. More about that along with the definite release date as information rolls in from the pressing plant. Bent and Snah will be involved in the Oslo performances of the piece in June, after playing their first show with Tomas in Trondheim at the end of May, and then they’ll head out as a three-piece to play various festivals around Europe. Check out our tour dates page for details.

Then there’s the next studio album, planned for September, which we are of course very excited to hear. It’s being mixed in California now and there’s no title yet, but we’ll update you here when we can. The fall tour is also being booked and we will add dates as they come in. Exciting times, so watch this space!
