UPDATE September 4: WE ARE NOW SHIPPING TO THE NETHERLANDS AGAIN!

Dear EU customers,

Due to the new “PPWR” regulations for the EU, we are forced to temporarily shut down all EU sales. We hope to keep this disruption as short as possible. If you’ve never heard of these regulations before, that’s shockingly normal. These sweeping changes to how direct-to-customer businesses can sell their products, along with the consequences for consumers, were not communicated well if at all to the public.

German and non-EU sales can continue as normal. 

While we welcome sensible recycling laws to decrease the flood of cardboard and plastic, to set up the new compliance laws in a way that it would cost even small businesses like ours a low five-digit amount per year (!) just for the administration alone (with recycling fees for each individual package on top of that) makes it unfeasible for us to continue business as usual until sensible changes are made. The EU parliament will be discussing exemptions for small businesses in October, so we are hopeful we can get back to normal business then.
